August book is Darwin’s Dangerous Idea — Evolution, and the Meanings of Life by Daniel C. Dennett

Starting the August book, past 2 months have been software development and my non-fiction reading cratered. At least I read Ortega before the encyclopedia so I can count that as the July reading. I remain delinquent on the encyclopedia book, I hope to fix that.

With the oracle and book ingestion mostly in place I feel comfortable backburnering those.

Evolution was one of those scientific ideas that were my favorites, so I’m looking forward to this book. However evolutionary theory has progressed significantly since the book was published in 1995. I will endeavor to bring in newer materials especially when it’s clear they have cultural/historical impact.
